Hey! Ya'll okay?! Sometimes as a blogger, I search in vain for inspiration. I am a color girl through and through. There was a time that I felt inspired every time I went into a store with home décor. The trends have changed and it leaves me hungry for color. What I have found is that I can turn to nature and get plenty excited. Nature is always inspiring. It's more than that to me, I find myself longing for it more and more the older I become. Do you?
Today I have been playing with shades of blue on the sofa. Many different patterns sitting together and getting along wonderfully.
Let start with a beautiful blue skies day, even if it's just pretend!
Mimosa tree I ran across yesterday. It had limbs running all over the place. They were on the ground, up around my legs and torso, just everywhere. I could actually walk between the branches that are loaded down with blooms. I don't remember ever being able to walk in a tree!
I was up early and thought it would be brighter this morning but it's a dreary morning outside. I do believe this is cheerful though! Blue and white toile sitting pretty on each end of the sofa along with two different patterns of roses on a light blue background. The two smaller pillows are sporting a runner and tea towel, both in blue and white.
I can't produce blue skies but I did get some pretty photos yesterday.
A small field of purple.
The coffee table has roses on the runner and in the small blue pitcher. Blue candleholder is sitting on top of blue willow plate. The crocheted roses were a gift from my sweet mother-in-law years ago. This is a cottagey look and I have been craving blue because it's been raining so much. I need some blue skies!

Hey! Ya'll doing okay?! It's been quiet around my house. A little early in the growing season for much to show but there's some pretty going on here and there in the yard.
French lace cap hydrangea is putting on its blue flowers
Dahlia bud. This is my first attempt growing with this flower and I am super excited just over the bud! It's such a dramatic flower!
Jute ~ That's what we call it. It's everywhere but I have never seen it with this gold iridescent shine in it. It reminds me of the red amaryllis with its gold shine as well.
Serious lizard hunting!
Doesn't this look like two models posing for a ad? It's my husband's parents. I love this photo. They look so happy and it's just makes me feel good to see it.

Hey! Y'all doing okay?! The Magnolia blooms have been fabulous this year. I have lived here a long time and I don't remember a year of so many blooms. There are blooms everywhere this year. So in that vein may I present my Magnolia tablescape. For good measure you will find gardenias strewn about the table as to impress you with the abundance of them. Well, it looks like I have a lot of gardenias but really one little bush is blooming it's behind off!
Last year was a dry year for the magnolias here. I think we had maybe a couple and they were really high up in the tree.
We didn't have to pull out a ladder of anything. I didn't have to go "pick one up off the ground at a local establishment either!"
My dear mister helped me immensely with this. I did something to my knee and walking was really painful. He was my right arm with this vignette. By the way, I let him put a ring on me thirty years ago and with celebrating that I have an all white table! Yes, it's our 30th anniversary!
We went to Natchez for the occasion. I took a few photos while we were there. They aren't what you probably expect.
I love the cemetery there. There are so many dramatic iron fences. Now I don't hesitate to tell you I am a little uneasy leaving my name on some of these photos. I am not superstitious but I prefer staying away from anything like this. Would you want your name on a photo of a cemetery? Or in this case, on the back of a headstone?! See what I do for ya'll!
A very close up and personal look at the tiny little center part of the flower. That "hair" just really gets to me!
There are so many private homes that aren't celebrated but are very pretty and look historical.
Last year's photo of a Magnolia bloom still on the tree.
A pretty private home.
Another private home.

Hey, How are ya'll? I have a little this and that for today.
Roses in a mercury glass container that's inside the glass bowl.
Now I know a lot of you already know this but I didn't! Have you ever seen such pretty eggs in your life?! Who knew the chickens that live in the country could produce such beauty?!
Green eggs....wouldn't that be a pretty wall color?! Love it!!
Oleander starting to have flowers.
Spending a lot of time soaking the knee in the tub, so I took one of the roses on the "cookie tray". I got a really good deal on it right before Christmas. Someone had used it to bake cookies in the oven. It's silver! I don't believe it is the exact same wallpaper but guess what Mafia daughter had very similar wallpaper in her kitchen. She had a set of dishes that I have too. Any guesses?
Layla got her haircut. She feels very special and insists on wearing her red turtleneck sweater now.
