It was wonderful to see sunny skies today. We have been buried under
rain since Wednesday of last week. Fortunately our skies dried up
yesterday. I hope you are having sunshine filled days.
There is a
table waiting for us outside on the back porch. Yellow, pink, peach and
white roses take center stage on the Spring table. I find I am drawn
to these colors more and more but they aren't in any of my decorating
except for art. I don't know where this has sprung up from! The celery
container has flowers of lavender with green centers that match the
container. White matelasse tablecloth has a runner with large roses of
different hues running down the center. I like to bunch up my fabric,
it gives whatever you are doing more substance, more oomph.
Mikasa Continental bowls on white Royal Norfolk dinner plates.
The trees were so pretty with the buds bursting out. This is a Redbud tree.
Bradford Pear blooms.
The geese were enjoying the warm sunshine.
We
looked at some plants but I am going to have to work on the mister. He
isn't on board yet. I like to fill pots of flowers on the backporch.
It's easy to care for them there and we can enjoy them so much more than
if we had a bed of them.
I don't remember the name of this but love the color and petals.
Roses in almost every color but not going to grow in my yard, I'm afraid. These will be enjoyed inside though.
Azaleas starting to put on a show.
I played with the light by taking a few photos inside last night.

Gorgeous flowers, Jan...I have to agree that potted plants are so much easier to care for than beds...maybe it is a sign we are gracefully aging!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Thanks Marigene! I don't know if I am graceful in any way, haha! But we do have three dogs that I don't want to worry about digging into a flower bed.
DeleteYour flower photos are always so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nikki!
