I hope this post finds you doing good. It's been quite a bit of
'magical chairs' with the art here lately. My favorite lady has been
moved into the dining room. This is her when I had her sitting on the
mantel.
She lived behind this sofa for a short while.
It
looks like Layla was enjoying a good stretch. She used to always
photobomb a photo but Jacques is much worse about it than she has ever
been.
The cabbage plates paired well with the colors in
the wallpaper so I hung them on each side of her. They work with
the colors in my wallpaper and it seems like a very good spot for them.
The
mister thought this would be a good spot for the picture because "It
covers some of the busy wallpaper up." Oh yes he did say that!
Can
you believe we are in March? There is something that happens to time
when you become a blogger or it has to me. It's very strange and it's
hard for me to describe to others. You go into a time warp. There are
times you feel like you have lived on the computer for months and given
so much that you have given away rights to your first grandchild. Then
you back off a little and you realize that those Fall, Christmas and
winter photos you took have come and gone. Then I ask how did it go so
fast? Was I paying attention? How is my family? The dogs okay? I can
identify with the man that has been in space for a year and just got
back. I didn't get taller, well let me rephrase that, blogging does
encourage growth but it's usually in width not length. Like my late
curmudgeon father used to say, "I can't get around a group of women that
congregate in the store aisle. There's nothing but acres and acres of
a$$!" He sounded similar to Walter Matthau in Grumpy Old Men!
By the way this post jumped the gun. It wasn't supposed to be published
until next week. I lost connection online and somehow it was then
published! Hence the silly title of the post! I had not come up with
the title name of this post and just borrowed my husband just mentioning
we 'got not bananas'. The mister likes to make milk shakes with frozen
bananas. You whip them up in the blender with milk and whatever else
you want and the frozen bananas make it thick like a shake but not as
fattening. He said no shake tonight, cause we got no bananas!
Jan
Howdy doody, Jannie Pooh! I probably should call you that but people I'm fond of kinda get kicknames! ;) Your mantel is gorgeous! I love your style and it's always so romantic looking! Love your little stretching dog and reminds me of my little Chloe Dawn who is in heaven.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I appreciate the nickname Sheila, that's a compliment! I hope you are still mending well. Thank you for your kind comments!
DeleteThat looks perfect there and with the dishes it's paired very well! It feels like spring up here already but I don't trust it. I hope it stays nice but we're used to having "winter" weather through March. I find I am on the computer more doing posts and visiting blogs to spend my time chasing away the winter blahs. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThank you Liz! I know what you mean, it's been such a warm winter for us. We usually have a freeze before Easter and a lot of the time it will take flower buds with it.
DeleteYour favorite lady looks great in the dining room. I ♥♥♥ that wallpaper!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week, Jan.
Thank you so much Marigene! That wallpaper came in two other colorways if I remember correctly and I went back and forth on which one for months! One was a dark green background and the other was a white background.
DeleteHi Jan, I am ALL about busy wallpaper! Yes! The plates are perfect on it and surrounding the picture, love it! That is funny about the title! :) Happy day to you!
ReplyDeleteGina
