Brought A Little Sugar Too

Hello, I hope you are doing good.  I took a little time this week but I am back and excited to be! I was planning on posting Monday but couldn't wait to get back at it.   There's been a fair amount of painting going on here.  Got the back porch done!  Yay!  So glad!

So there has been painting outside and drying inside.  Before we pressure washed the back porch, the mister told me to go ahead and cut the hydrangeas because they could easily get sprayed away since they are beside one end of the porch.  So I have been drying these on the dining table in cups and glasses.

Hmm...those are the cups and plates from the last post.  Wonder who didn't put them up?!  Yes I have a cup from 1987, you got a problem with that?!  Ha!

So you see why I don't have a pretty table set up!  And the back porch has been off limits.

Now on to some pretties!  I took these photos while most of the hydrangeas had dried and right before the painting started.  Just a couple were still a bit fresh but they have such a pretty color right now I wanted to capture it.

Another Flour container!

Brought a little sugar too.

All on a old lace tablecloth.

Got a little surprise!  Wisteria blooms in June.  It did that last year too.  Ha! ha!  I meant July!  If you think that's bad I am forever not knowing what day of the week it is!  I do posts that will be shown on days coming up and when I get through I have no idea what day this is!  Talk about getting a strange look from the mister when I ask him what day is this?

    1. Thanks Susie! I live in the deep south and my hydrangeas had gone past their peak. The ones you saw on the table came from a bush that brought me blue ones earlier in the summer. After that they were blooming green and I waited until I saw some hint of reddish color on the tips. I put them in a cup of glass with just a bit of water. I read somewhere to only fill the cup/glass 1/3 full. When the water was gone and if they felt completely dry I took them outside and sprayed them with hairspray (as one of the blogger's mentioned to me!). I would have waited a bit longer but with the power washing I was afraid they might get shredded since they are against the back porch. Hope that helps!
