Loving That Red!!
March 6, 2014
I have a thing for red. Oh yes! It grabs me every time, just keep going back to it over and over! The cooler reds appeal to me more, the ones with blue in them. But I have found if you have very little natural light in a room then a warmer red, like a tomato, can work really well. You could call this a Shabby Chic look, I suppose, but I think my taste really is English Cottage with Shabby Chic and Romantic Style all blended together! The roses in the pic stand out so pretty against the red. The silver in the mirror cools the red from being too warm.

I totally agree!! As you know, because you have been to our house, red is one of my favorite colors!! I seem to always gravitate to reds:)
ReplyDeleteIn fact, just yesterday I was looking around the foyer and a thought entered into my little brain that I need a red pillow to sit on the black and tan zebra chair in there!!

ReplyDeleteWell of course it did! (Not referring to your brain size, silly!) Red really works well with all neutrals!
ReplyDeleteDon't tell me....red isn't a neutral????? Yikes...don't tell my house :^)
ReplyDeleteI started with reds in 1965......everything has changed since then, except the color :^) I am SO backward, that I still have a red wall in my dining room.....oh my...... and a humongous collection of red and white transferware in a hutch against the red wall...and lots of red toile too..... Is there any hope for me????
