Taking A Nap

I keep being drawn to white.  It does really bring out other colors and it's very soothing and appears cool.  That is so appealing in the hot summer.  Where did my love for red go?  I did have a red and white toile on this bed and really loved it.

What is also surprising to me is how sentimental I seem to be about keeping things.  This rose colored shawl was my grandmother's.  The book was a gift from my mother in law many years ago.

It is almost a running theme now when I post that I have something that was from my mother/grandmother or mother in law.

It's thundering outside and I am thinking about taking a nap.  I have developed really bad late hours at night.  It seems like I can be more productive at night.

Did you notice my dream catcher hanging on the bed post on the far left?  Made by my daughter many years ago.  She was very insistent that I keep it there when she made it!

I love the textured white fabric tablecloth next to the bed.  Matelassé.

This is a vintage Ralph Lauren fabric.  Many of you are most likely familiar with it.  The shams were super expensive so I bought the Ralph Lauren sheets and had these pillow shams made instead.
