Fall Mantel Part Two 2015

Hello!  I have another Fall mantel to share with you.  It was so much fun doing the first Fall mantel that I decided to do another one.  Let's take a look!

There's some produce up here.  Small pumpkins and orange roses are sharing the mantel with the centerpieces that were on the dining table.  I love the height the centerpieces bring and really think I will use these pieces a lot.  The large green leaves really add interest and that can be changed with small branches like holly.  I can change out the flowers when these wilt and can bring real or faux ones in when needed or desired.

I have cushaw and ornamental squash on the mantel as well.  You can cook cushaw.  I didn't know anything about cushaw until my mister introduced me to it. It's the green and white striped produce you see on the mantel.  We had cushaw pie last Fall!  Have you started on your Fall decorating?

Starting with the landscape painting is a good starting point for a Fall look.  You can go any direction with your decorating from this point.  I went for a more robust, happy Fall look this time.  I try to stay symmetrical, but not always exactly, which gives it a more casual look.

Autumn ~ When crops and fruits are gathered and the leaves fall.

These last three, including the one above, were taken at night.

There's a good view of the cushaw.  Of course, that's my greatgrandmother's painting she accomplished.

I will be posting with a read more...at the beginning of the posts.  Just click on it when you see it and it will open up the post.  I didn't begin this with a 'read more' because I wanted to tell you first.  Okay?  Okay!
